College Football Week 4
Well the first month of the season is down to one last Saturday and frankly we've seen Boise State seem a lock for the BCS Championship Game only for Virginia Tech to diminish that victory a week later, Alabama looks like they didn't have eight months off, Florida's offense is slowly getting into gear, the ACC isn't a contender for anything as well as the Big East, and new Heisman candidates have jumped to the forefront. The last two weeks there have been some close, exciting, well-played games from unexpected sources: South Carolina-Georgia, Notre Dame-Michigan, Clemson-Auburn, Iowa-Arizona, and Notre Dame-Michigan State. Also my Chattanooga Mocs played a compete game against the Eastern Kentucky Colonels to get their first victory of the season after losing the first two games by a combined total of 5 points, and now on to SoCon game #2 against Western Carolina on the road. But on to my personal television view schedule tomorrow...
12:20 p.m.-4 p.m.
UAB Blazers at Tennessee Volunteers
Normally I would put a secondary game or a blowout back-up, but since my Vols are playing I'm not going to be turning the channel unless the Blazers are kicking our ass handly in the 2nd half. Coach Dooley has been preaching all week that it doesn't matter if UAB is a Conference USA team, the Vols better play like they're a Top Ten team or else. During commercials and halftime, I'll be checking on NC State-Georgia Tech because of my participation in Coach Bib's College Football Pick'em.
4 p.m.-7 p.m.
Stanford Cardinal at Notre Dame Fighting Irish
To be honest, I'm not liking the Alabama-Arkansas game. I think the Tide will roll big over the Hogs, so my interest isn't really there in this time slot. With Stanford playing on the West Coast and not really at a time when I can watch them, this will probably be my only time to see them until they play either Oregon or Arizona. The Ohio State Buckeyes are playing as well, but against Eastern Michigan so not really interested. And North Carolina-Rutgers seems intriguing if the Cardinal are just thumping the Irish.
7 p.m.-11 p.m.
Game of the Week
South Carolina Gamecocks at Auburn Tigers
When I saw this on the schedule after the last few weeks, I instantly wanted to watch it. This is going to be a real important game for both teams as they position themselves in their respective SEC divisions. The running backs are going to be the stars and the quarterbacks will be the ones that don't or do lose the game. Can't wait until 7:45 for this game to start. The Oregon State-Boise State game is easily going to the Broncos just like the Bama game, and while the West Virginia-LSU does seem interesting because my Vols are facing the Bayou Bengals next week I'll only turn over there if the SC-Auburn game is a blowout either way.
That's all for this week, come back next week to see my personal viewing schedule or leave a comment about your viewing schedule for this week.
